AI can help with a CV, but it cannot know your work history from almost no information. If you give it only a few vague lines, it will usually fill the page with clean, vague sentences. The CV may look more professional, but it will not help much when an Israeli recruiter asks what you actually did.

A better use is simple: give AI your real work details, ask it to organize them, and then remove anything you cannot explain in an interview. That matters more than having a polished document.

Give AI the details recruiters actually look for

Before asking AI to write, collect rough notes. Do not worry about style yet. Write down your roles, daily tasks, shifts, systems, customers, languages, targets, documents, reports, stock, payments, schedules, or team responsibilities.

For administration jobs, useful details may include calendars, invoices, supplier contact, document tracking, Excel, CRM work, and support for managers. For customer service jobs, mention phone, email, chat, complaints, Hebrew or English communication, and how you closed open cases. For sales jobs, the stronger material is about leads, follow-up calls, quotes, targets, renewals, and customer objections.

These details help AI write a CV that still sounds like your real experience. Without them, it will often produce sentences that could belong to anyone.

A prompt that keeps the CV honest

Use a prompt that limits invention. For example:

That last sentence is important. A good AI workflow is not one command and done. It is a back-and-forth: draft, check, correct, and only then paste into the CV.

Check the CV like an interviewer would

Before sending the CV, go line by line and imagine the interview question: "Tell me more about this." If you cannot answer naturally, change the line.

Remove inflated titles, fake metrics, and tools you barely know. Do not write "managed operations" if your real work was receiving goods, arranging shifts, or helping customers. Those tasks can still be valuable, but they need to be described clearly.

Also check the language level. If the CV is in English but the job requires Hebrew, do not let AI hide the gap. It is better to write something accurate, such as "basic Hebrew, fluent Russian and English", than to create problems later in the process.

AI is useful when it makes your experience easier to read. It becomes risky when it makes your experience sound like someone else's. The safest test is simple: if you would feel comfortable explaining every line to a recruiter, the CV is probably ready to send.
